Proclamation under the Nature Conservation Act 2002

I, the Administrator in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, by this my proclamation made under sections 11(2) and 19(2) of the Nature Conservation Act 2002 declare –

(a) the Crown land specified in Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area and give the name Foochow Conservation Area to that reserved land; and
(b) that the Foochow Inlet Conservation Area, declared by the proclamation notified in the Gazette as Statutory Rules 1996 No. 106, be renamed as Foochow Conservation Area; and
(c) that this proclamation takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE 1 - Foochow Conservation Area
All that land comprising about 4 786 hectares in total and shown as Lot 1 of about 2 906 hectares, Lot 2 of about 1 599 hectares and Lot 3 of about 281 hectares and bounded by heavy black lines on Plan Number 5944 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is included, by way of illustration only, in Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
