Proclamation under the Nature Conservation Act 2002

I, the Lieutenant-Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, by this my proclamation made under sections 11(2) and 19(2) of the Nature Conservation Act 2002  –

(a) declare the area of Crown land specified in Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area; and
(b) give the name Tamar Conservation Area to the reserved land referred to in paragraph (a) and reserved land which, immediately before the day on which this proclamation takes effect, was named the Tamar River Conservation Area; and
(c) declare that this proclamation takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE 1 - Tamar Conservation Area
All that area of land comprising about 16.42 hectares shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 4887 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
