Proclamation under the Nature Conservation Act 2002
I, the Lieutenant-Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, by this my proclamation made under sections 11(2) and 21(1) of the Nature Conservation Act 2002
27 June 2003(a) declare that the reserved land, in the class of conservation area (formerly a sanctuary with respect to birds generally), specified in the Second Schedule to a proclamation under the Animals and Birds Protection Act 1928, being Statutory Rules 1956, No. 32, ceases to be reserved land; and(b) declare the area of Crown land specified in Schedule 1 to this proclamation to be reserved land in the class of conservation area; and(c) give the name Port Cygnet Conservation Area to that reserved land; and(d) declare that this proclamation takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE 1 - Port Cygnet Conservation AreaAll that area of land comprising approximately 107.8 hectares shown as Lot 1 and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 4895 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Schedule 2 to this proclamation.
